About Skyalta

Skyalta has been in operation since 1989 with a first base of operations at Montreal and a second base added in Toronto with additional locations to be added in the near future. Our program is a hospital based air medical transport programme affiliated with McGill University Health Centre.  Our paediatric medicine programme’s affiliation is with CHU-Hospital Sainte Justine. We have safely transported close to 28,000 patients, adult, neonatal and paediatric since our inception without incident.

Our fleet is comprised of modern Bombardier Learjet 45 XR’s  equipped with dual Lifeport stretcher base systems as well as an onboard restroom for patient, family and crew comfort.
We have other long range aircraft such as the Bombardier Challenger Global Express available as needed and converted for air ambulance operations. Skyalta is licensed for air ambulance operations by both the State of Florida and State of Nevada Emergency Medical Services Departments. Our alarm centre is staffed 24/7/365 to handle our clients needs either by phone or email. Skyalta has added the capability to chat live with one of our operators through our web portal, a valuable addition which we believe our clients will value for enquiries and/or to ascertain availability for a mission.

Over 180 countries and territories have been visited and serviced by Skyalta, our aircraft and crews visit countries often inaccessible to other air ambulance operators and therefore we provide a valuable benefit to our clients worldwide. We are the preferred choice of discerning travel health insurers, insurance companies, university medical centres, embassies ,entertainment industry and governmental entities for their mission critical air medical transport needs worldwide. Skyalta delivers innovative case management solutions to its diverse client base and is continuing to develop products that clients have come to expect from an industry leader in the provision of high acuity, critical care air medical transport.
