The European Aero-Medical Institute (EURAMI) e.V. awards accreditation to aeromedical transport companies complying with the EURAMI standards for Fixed Wing Air Ambulance, Rotary Wing Air Ambulance and Commercial Airline Medical Escort. EURAMI providers stand for high quality, safety and excellence in aviation medicine. Achieving successful EURAMI accreditation does not require taking any course or consultation. The EURAMI Office will provide candidates with all necessary information, guidelines and instructions to prepare, undergo and complete EURAMI accreditation. 

Fixed Wing Air Ambulance

The European Aero-Medical Institute accredits aero-medical providers performing transfers on fixed wing air ambulance aircraft.

The Fixed Wing Air Ambulance category is divided into Regional & Intercontinental Air Ambulance and contains a variety of medical endorsements to honor the various specializations and capabilities in this category.

Rotary Wing Air Ambulance

The European Aero-Medical Institute accredits aero-medical providers performing transfers on rotary wing air ambulance aircraft.

The Rotary Wing Air Ambulance category is divided into HEMS, Inter-Hospital Transport and SAR and contains a variety of medical endorsements to honor the various specializations and capabilities in this category.

Commercial Airline Medical Escort

The European Aero-Medical Institute accredits aero-medical providers performing transfers on Commercial Airlines.

Accredited Providers transport patients either in Economy Class, Business Class, First Class, PTC or on a designated Stretcher on a designated Commercial Airline.

Re-Accreditation

Information for providers who are already EURAMI accredited and who are looking for some guidance on the re-accreditation process, timelines and duties that comes with being re-accredited. The Re-Accreditation audit takes place every three years.

Pre-Auditing Consulting Service

The European Aero-Medical Institute offers a Pre-Auditing Consulting Service for companies that require additional guidance and support to become compliant with EURAMI standards. The EURAMI Pre-Audit Consulting Service is available for all aero-medical providers in the categories of Fixed Wing Air Ambulance, Rotary Wing Air Ambulance and Commercial Airline Medical Escort.

EURAMI Standards

The EURAMI Standards are created and published by the European Aero-Medical Institute as a guideline and requirement for high quality aero-medical transportation. Aero-medical programs who wish to apply for EURAMI accreditation in Fixed Wing Air Ambulance, Rotary Wing Air Ambulance or Commercial Airline Medical Escort must fulfill the EURAMI standards in order to be successfully accredited.

The EURAMI standards are updated on a regular basis to reflect the changes and developments in the industry.
