About AMS Transport AS

With background from Norwegian Air Ambulance AS, Global Medical Support AS and SOS International AS, we have more than 30 years’ experience from international patient logistics and transports.

AMS medical personnel are educated and trained to take care of all kinds of patient categories / STEP levels. The flight doctors are experienced anesthesiologists, and the flight nurses are ICU or anesthetist specialists. When needed other medical specialists or a specialist team are used in addition to the standard air ambulance team.

We have a large network of specialized nurses and doctors with vast experience and clinical training both from the private and public sector.

AMS Medical Control Centre do the medical part of the mission planning.
Based on professional evaluation and experience, we decide the optimal medical transport level for every patient.
The Air Ambulance Service is in close partnership with aircraft operator Airwing AS, based at Oslo airport. Airwing do all the flight planning, taking into account the medical aspects provided by AMS.

Every transport is documented in a digital medical transport record, and anonymous data are registered in our Transport App for statistical purposes.

AMS is GDPR compliant, and operates in compliance with relevant laws and regulations, Best Practice, and international medical standards.
