Tyrol Air Ambulance (TAA) is a worldwide provider of air ambulance services operating from the hearts of the Alps. Our headquarters are based in Innsbruck, Austria. We provide a comprehensive range of additional services, including roadside assistance and medical support, delivered through our independent assistance business unit – available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

We own and operate a fleet of ambulance jets delivering a perfect mixture of both time- and cost-efficient air ambulance flights. The Gulfstream 100’s are mainly used for worldwide patient transports with a flight time of three or more hours, while our Citation aircraft are ideal for shorter distance missions within Europe. In addition, the Gulfstream 100’s allow us the capability to transport two patients at the same time.

At TAA, we prioritize efficient flight planning and strive to ensure that any travel stress (in addition to the patient’s illness or injury) remains as low as possible. We have therefore completed the required special approvals or training for special airports and have permits for Kathmandu (Nepal), Alanya (Turkey), Reggio Calabria, Bolzano (Italy) and Lugano (Switzerland). This enables us to significantly shorten patient journey times in those respective regions.
